About the wine

Our 2019 Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon exudes aromas of ripe plum, blackberry and spice with light hints of thyme. Luscious flavors of toasted oak and black fruit are well-balanced on the palate with a sprinkle of tobacco. Elegant and refined tannins and perfect acidity lead way to a long, velvety and seductive finish.

Harvested on October 18, the grapes were fermented on the skins for 47 days with pump-overs twice daily. After fermentation, the wine was gently pressed, racked, and aged for 19 months in 58% new French oak barrels. Tightly grained French oak barrels from forests in the center of France slowly impart their oak to wines for a consistent, well-rounded aging process while yielding subtle oak influences to the Cabernet Sauvignon.
