About the wine

Aromas of raspberries, baking spice, and espresso waft from the glass in this 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon. This is an opulent wine offering flavors of chocolate, cinnamon, mint, and notes of oak that linger. The texture is smooth and coats the full-bodied palate and is followed by a supple and seductive finish.

Grapes were harvested between September 13 and October 19 from vineyards across Napa Valley, with much of the fruit grown on the Valley floor, which adds a nice plushness and mid-palate to the wine. 51% of the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are from the Raymond Estate vineyards imparting power and structure into the final blend. Hand-picked in the early morning hours and optically sorted, the grapes went through extended maceration and were on their skins for an average of 43 days. Aged in 37% new small French oak barrels from Ermitage, Demptos, Seguin Moreau and Saury for 19 months, the wine was bottled unfiltered on August 23, 2023.
