About the wine
The 2022 Small Lot Napa Valley Syrah reveals a striking deep garnet hue in the glass. Captivating scents of sun-drenched berries, roasted hazelnuts, and a whisper of cedar rise gracefully. Vibrant flavors of stewed plum, warm blueberry cobbler, and aromatic clove envelop the palate. The silky, harmoniously textured mouthfeel unfolds into a lingering and impressive finish.
The Syrah was picked in the cool morning hours of September 13, and the Petit Verdot was picked on September 17. The Syrah and Viognier were co-fermented, and the grapes were left on their skins for 25 days to preserve freshness. The wine was aged in Demptos French oak barrels, 16% new, for 18 months before being bottled on July 8, which is a root day.
