Vivid and inviting, this Rutherford Vermentino opens with aromas of orange blossom, lemon peel, and honeydew, complemented by notes of raw almond and a subtle oceanic nuance. The palate is energetic and well-defined, revealing flavors of pomelo, ripe nectarine, and a hint of citrus herb, all supported by a steady thread of acidity shaped by the vineyard’s cooling river proximity. A light textural roundness provides balance through the mid-palate while preserving clarity. The finish is sleek and mouthwatering, with lingering mineral tones and a delicate savory impression.

Harvested on September 18, the fruit for this Vermentino comes from a single Rutherford vineyard situated in the center of the valley near the Napa River. The vines are rooted in Pleasanton Loam—layered soils formed from historic river sediments—and benefit from the river’s moderating effect, which brings cooler nighttime temperatures that help retain acidity and support gradual, even ripening while preserving the varietal’s natural vibrancy. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks before being aged for six months.
